I live in Denver and I am a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Fitness has always been part of my life but primarily as a hobby. I attended Purdue University and achieved my Bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences, with the plan of going to vet school however, I found my real passion in the fitness industry. Competitive sports were my whole life from my early childhood years until I graduated from high school. I was never worried about gaining weight, but once I started college, I realized my active lifestyle was not the same and my body started to change, along with my eating habits. This made me overall feel unhappy with myself. Struggling with body images issues for many years, I was so conscious about what I would eat, working out excessively and overall feeling discouraged with myself no matter what results I would see. I knew I wanted to change my outlook on my overall health, be comfortable in the skin that I’m in and help others who have these same issues. I began weight training which helped me realized that strong is the new skinny and I can honestly say that it has changed my life. Becoming a personal trainer has brought the joy back to fitness for me and I feel so proud to be a part of the Kinetafit team. It is an indescribable feeling watching members meet their fitness goals and knowing that I had a part of helping them achieving it.
